A video from a Porthcawl RNLI charity gig. Ruth Jones, appearing in character as Nessa from Gavin & Stacey, was hosting the lifeboat fundraiser... when Rob Brydon surprised the audience by appearing at the back of the room. After a chat about what Bryn has been doing, the duo sung their number one hit (Barry) Islands in the Stream... and were joined on stage by Bonnie Tyler and Only Men Aloud.

Speaking to Wales Online, RNLI press officer Ian Stroud said: "Ruth has been a big supporter of ours for a while now and really wanted to do something to help. She was basically behind the whole thing, sorting the food, raffle and all the other acts on the bill - which even included Bonnie Tyler and Only Men Aloud. It was an amazing night, but then - just as Ruth, or Nessa as I should probably call her - was reminiscing about Uncle Bryn, in Rob came through the back of the venue. Everyone went mad because hardly anyone knew he was going to turn up - even those of us behind the scenes weren't 100% sure it would happen. To top it all Bonnie Tyler and Only Men Aloud joined in with them towards the end - it really made everyone's night. The whole place was buzzing."
