Laura's confessional article about being in therapy and having an affair is published in the newspaper. The response from readers and her editor is great but she's worried about how Kieran, will react when he gets back from his holiday. To make things even more awkward it also happens to be Laura's parents' 40th wedding anniversary and her Aunty Bronagh has shared Laura's article with all the family on Facebook. Patrick is fuming with Laura for embarrassing the family and Laura is convinced everyone is talking about her. Kieran turns up at the party when he gets back from his trip and suddenly Laura's career at the newspaper is under question.
Katie discovers that she's pregnant after having sex with Sean at the awards. In shock and unsure about what to do, she decides to meet him to see if her instincts about him are correct. After some misogynistic comments from him about Laura's article, Katie decides not to tell him anything about the pregnancy. She shares the news with Laura and admits she has no idea whether she's going to keep it or have a termination.
Alison gets her fertility results from the doctor and is shocked to find out they are worse that Martin's. Whereas Martin can improve his fertility, Alison's chances of having a baby are slim. When Martin finds out she told her friends before him he's furious and it looks like their relationship might be off for good this time.
