Walking And Talking
Following on from Kathy Burke's acclaimed short film Better Than Christmas, part of the Little Crackers series for Sky1 HD, this comedy drama takes a heart-warming and captivating look at her life as a young teenager, roaming the streets of Islington with her best friend Mary.
Set in 1979, a young Kathy harboured a dream to be an actress, but circumstance and her upbringing made it an unlikely dream. Walking And Talking tells the stories inspired from her teenage years - time spent bunking off school, talking about the stuff that matters: punk rock, books, television and her hopes and dreams.
Reprising their roles as Kathy and her best friend Mary are Ami Metcalf (Upstairs Downstairs) and Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Luther, Skins). Kathy Burke also stars in each episode as Angry Nun, alongside Sean Gallagher and stand-up comedy legend Jerry Sadowitz.
