Further details
There's tension in the air after Christine suspects that her daughter Sophie has been at it with her boyfriend. The row escalates and results in more than verbal damage when Christine's ceiling collapses, leaving her with a head full of plaster and nowhere to stay. Just as well she's got good neighbours in Beth and Eric Baird.
Over at the Bairds, Cathy turns up to boast about the luxury holiday to Egypt she's just booked for her and Colin. However, her good mood proves short-lived when she discovers that Colin has been using his laptop for some 'personal' satisfaction.
Before they know it, the Bairds have Christine, Sophie and Cathy as overnight guests. And then their son Ian turns up looking for a bed for the night following a fight with his boyfriend Jaz. It's a full house and a major headache for Eric.

Elaine C Smith steals the show in Two Doors Down
I've written before on these pages about my distaste for Elaine C Smith's TV persona, which is loud and boisterous, but she is stealing the show in this new series.
