Further details
In this episode, Kiri takes a look through the archives at the ways in which women have been stereotyped, as well as broken stereotypes, over the years. In one clip from 1972, Lynette Augustine discusses being one of only 40 female police officers in south Wales and the reaction she gets on a day to day basis from men she encounters on the job.
In another clip, sixth-formers at Ynysawdre Comprehensive School have entered the world of cosmetics. Using their chemistry lab as a base, they've founded a makeshift factory to produce a range of items such as talcum powder, bath salts and bubble bath liquids, as well as undertaking market research, costing and packaging.
Other archive clips include a snooker-loving 9-year-old girl in Milford Haven, female rally drivers and a look at the requirements of a knife thrower's assistant.
