Further details
Kiri is celebrating Welsh record breakers, exploring some of the wackiest winners and losers in Wales. She begins by taking a look back at a world record attempt at parallel bar dips, presented by Roy Castle. The challenge sees Peter Herbert from Pendine aiming to break the record, which he held himself at that time, of most consecutive bar dips in one minute.
Kiri learns about Tony Evans, who is mad about rubber bands. He's amassed such a collection over the years that he was able to create a rubber band ball that measured 14ft in diameter and weighed more than 2500lbs - the biggest in the world. In a bizarre turn of events, an experiment by an American TV company sees them drop the ball from a plane a mile above the Mojave Desert to see if it would bounce but all does not go to plan.
Other record breaking archive clips include a whopper of a challenge as one man attempts to eat a 9lb burger, a cliff-diving Jack Russell in Pembrokeshire, Chelsea-prize winning vegetables from Anglesey and the first man to speak Welsh in space.
