A wannabe master of the kitchen, Matt painstakingly prepares a Thai green curry and, refusing all help, snaps when Iain offers culinary advice. He's not going to repress his feelings any longer, he and the doctor need to hash it out. Kate, meanwhile, is clueless about Meg and Iain's fling and the mission of the night is to make sure she remains that way.

Convinced the group is sitting on a time bomb, Gail agrees to Sam's escape plan, and in a fit of misguided hope, he leaves to source provisions should he get lucky with the object of his desires. With a disaster in the kitchen and no sign of any grub back at the house, the free-flowing wine loosens tongues and sends the reading on the awkward-o-meter soaring.
