Further details
Wow! Wales are moving into gene tourism as they partner a DNA testing company. As part of the partnership, staff at the tourist agency are given free samples to see how Welsh they are. Some are more reluctant than others to take the test.
Corporate Directors Wyn and Charlotte are looking for a celebrity to front the Wow! Wales DNA campaign, and they manage to land Wales and British Lions rugby legend Scott Quinnell. His role is to feature in a 'Welcome to Wales' advert, greeting those who find they have Welsh blood. Scott is the perfect person to head the campaign as he is found to be a biological - and mathematical - miracle.
"I've done the test. I'm 110% Welsh" - Scott Quinnell
Investigating DNA can make people want to extend their own family tree. As a result of the campaign, Wow! Wales CEO Elaine has set up a dating profile. Things get a bit awkward when she accidentally sends her profile to the group printers around the building, prompting all manner of responses from the various members of staff.
Meanwhile, the I-Centre team in Aberystwyth receive a visit from an American tourist with a bold claim - he is the King of Wales.
