When Angie and Nick Tyler have a baby they decide to rent out their basement to help pay the bills.
Nick's father Sam, a stubborn Londoner with a taxidermy hobby, and Angie's mum Daphne, a snobby Cheltenham woman, both want the flat. The only solution is to share, so with some reluctance the widowed grandparents both move in.
Despite the initial clashes between personalities romance soon blossoms between the old couple.
