Guest Star Photos
Lots of guest stars are due to appear in Sky's new sitcom This Is Jinsy. Here's pictures of a couple of them...
Simon Callow and Nigel Planer
Veteran actor Simon Callow and The Young Ones star Nigel Planer both appear in Episode 5...
Simon Callow plays Threcker (pictured below), an officious ex-teacher of Maven's who delights in tormenting Jinsy's arbiter. He is responsible from extracting nameworms from deceased islanders and inserting them into new-borns.
Nigel Planer is the Man With No Nameworm. Smaller than a tree, but bigger than a ball, the Man With No Nameworm lives a solitary and rather boring existence in a miniature chalet in Jinsy's abandoned model village.
Catherine Tate
Catherine Tate plays Roopina Crale in Episode 3. When it comes to cleanliness, Chief Editor for island magazine Glove Hygiene Monthly Roopina leads the way. She comes to Jinsy to interview the island’s Arbiter Maven, but there may be more to her than meets the eye...
Peter Serafinowicz
Peter Serafinowicz, who appears in the second episode of This Is Jinsy, plays Eric Dunt, a seedy and unscrupulous cupboard salesman, who discovers he can make a killing touting his second-rate wares after the people of Jinsy become convinced he is The Great He (the hugely worshipped but never seen governor of Jinsy island).
David Tennant
David Tennant guest stars in the first episode of This Is Jinsy as Mr Slightlyman, an outrageously camp wedding planner with a penchant for plastic surgery. On Jinsy island, he's a local celebrity and calls himself the 'Master of Balls' as he's in charge of the marriage lottery.
Harry Hill
TV Burp star Harry Hill appears as Joon Boolay, the punishment administrator on Jinsy, issuing a range of punishments from suspension of dance vouchers to mild electric shocks, all part of her regular Punishment Round-Up from her TV studios.
