Jinsy's annual Beardboy competition is usually a time for celebration, as residents gather to show off their gloriously eclectic range of beards. But with a mysterious beard nibbler on the loose, many are living in fear for their facial fur. The police are throwing all their resources at finding the culprit. But with attacks becoming more frequent, it seems nobody is safe.

Nibbled beards, however, are the least of Maven's concerns. Roopina Crale (Catherine Tate), Chief Editor of Glove Hygiene Monthly, is due to interview him as a potential for next month's cover. No other magazine so brilliantly captures the cleansing, maintenance and bleaching of the executive man mitten, so Maven is understandably keen to impress. The Tower is spotless, his hands thoroughly cleansed, and he's been working on some pretty exciting hand poses, from the invisible ball to the weeping spider.

However, despite Maven's best-laid plans, the interview is a disaster - ruined by the untimely arrival of Sporall and a mud-splattered goat named Nathan that seems to have taken a shine to him. But Nathan has not only landed the Sporall in trouble with his arbiter, the police are on his tail too. Could he be harbouring the nibbler?

As the police make their move on Sporall, Maven tries to win back favour with Roopina by inviting her to Jinsy's new Hygiene Bar. But, once again, the meeting does not go to plan. Could Roopina be hiding something behind her impeccably primped facade?

Jinsy island is divided into a number of Parishes, with Brownlap being one of its most popular (and Kraw the least, by some way). You can visit Grassworld, the Incredible Singing Stump and the legendary Nose Stone. And no trip to Brownlap is complete without a detour to the Mystery Pond...
