While head midwife, Tracy, reluctantly papers over the cracks on the ward, Adam is preoccupied by a distressed older patient.
Shruti suspects a pregnant patient has a violent partner, but struggles to get her alone. At home, Adam attempts to tell his judgemental mother about his relationship with Harry. Adam finally opens up to Harry, but a big secret remains unsaid.
