The Likely Lads trivia

Beyond England's north-east, the exact setting for The Likely Lads was never revealed - or seemingly even decided - by writers Clement and Le Frenais. Various towns across the region claimed to be the programme's spiritual home, from Sunderland to Hartlepool. However, when reviving the characters for 1970s sequel Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads? they resolved to pinpoint the boys exactly, selecting Newcastle as the sitcom's setting.
