League Of Gentleman fan gets 'Bastard' floral tribute
A fan of The League Of Gentlemen designed the ultimate send off for himself.
Before he died, Mike Stubbs asked a funeral director to arrange a 'Bastard' floral tribute to be placed on his coffin in the hearse.
The move replicates a brief scene that was featured in the dark BBC Two comedy, as can be seen in the clip below:
Stubbs died earlier this month, aged 64, and it was Final Journey funeral directors who drove the hearse with the eye catching flowers to Carlisle Crematorium.
In a Facebook post they explained "An unusual one today - Which we feel requires a little explanation ... A request from a dying man with a cheeky sense of humour to replicate his favourite scene from The League Of Gentleman TV show at his own funeral."
They added: "He was very much loved by his family and friends and got the last laugh, just like he wanted."
The hearse certainly raised some eyebrows as it travelled through Carlisle:
