Series 2
The Job Lot is back this autumn for a second series, now in its new home on ITV2.
Sarah Hadland and Russell Tovey return as Trish and Karl, with Lemon La Vida Loca star Laura Aikman joining the show as new Deputy Manager, Natalie.
The new six-part series also sees grumpy Angela (Jo Enright), security guards Janette and Paul (Angela Curran and Martin Marquez) and undercover operative George (Adeel Akhtar) return to the Midlands Job Centre. Regular jobseekers Graham (Tony Maudsley) and Bryony (Sophie McShera) are also still involved too.
This new series also sees a variety of guest stars walk through the job centre's sliding doors, with Meera Syal as a highly successful CEO of a hot tub company, Keith Duffy as a telephone engineer with a roving eye, Mark Benton as a job centre advisor who finds Angela irresistible and Rosie Cavaliero as Trish's rival job centre manager.
Below is a behind-the-scenes video introducing the new series:
Episode one sees Natalie join the team as the new Deputy Manager, and she immediately catches the eye of Karl - could romance be in the air? Trish is also thrilled to have Natalie on board and is determined that the pair of them should be new best friends.
Angela on the other hand, is far less welcoming. She sees Natalie's job as rightfully being hers but in the meantime has to settle for 'Cost Cutting Champion' a newly created role to try and keep her quiet, with which she takes great pleasure in harassing her work colleagues.
Unlikely security guards Janette and Paul are still on hand to protect the staff of Brownall Job Centre, whilst Fraud Officer George takes his work equally seriously and has ordered himself some night vision goggles and a taser to help with his surveillance work, neither of which seem like a good idea.
Job centre regular Graham is back with his own unique ways of finding a job, and - miracle of miracles - the jobseeker who never wants to actually seek, Bryony, finds a job she takes a fancy to. Problem is it's against the rules for Natalie to help her because it's in the sex industry...
ITV's Elaine Bedell says: "It's great to welcome back the brilliantly beleaguered workers and job seekers of the Brownall Job Centre - and this time round with some excellent guest stars, who'll be joining our regular ensemble comedy cast."
Executive Producer Hannah Pescod adds: "We're thrilled to get to work on the further adventures of The Job Lot in their new home on ITV2. Series 2 is bigger, bolder and much ruder!"
The Job Lot Series 2 will be on ITV2 this autumn.
