The Dustbinmen trivia

Creator Jack Rosenthal invented his own abusive language ("bog off", "piggin 'eck") for this sitcom but were still deluged with complaints. The series drew particular attention from moral crusader Mary Whitehouse.

Jack Rosenthal tired of his creation by the end of the second series, abandoning it for the much softer, but equally innovative, The Lovers.

The original Playhouse comedy drama from which the series was developed, There's A Hole In Your Dustbin Delilah, was filmed on location rather than in a studio, and does not feature a laughter track.
