Doom and gloom for Terry McConnell as dishy Frenchman Raymond Mercier is installed as coach and then disaster for everyone as chairman Sandra Farrell announces that husband Vincent cannot afford to bankroll Ashburn United's trip to Birmingham for the North and Midlands Under 11's Cup. Terry stoops lower than usual in his efforts to raise the money to pay for the trip.

Dishy Frenchman Raymond Mercier is appointed as coach - much to the delight of Debbie, who immediately sees romantic possibilities, but to the dismay of Terry and Kaskar.

Yet more dismay is to follow, however, as Vincent informs his wife that they are unable to sponsor the Ashes' trip to Birmingham. It looks like the long-awaited trip will have to be cancelled unless Terry can raise the funds in time.
