Exclusive all-access coverage of the first National Comedy Awards for Stand Up To Cancer, hosted by Tom Allen.
Looking back at a year of much-needed laughter, legends of comedy and rising stars gather at the red-carpet ceremony at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, to find out who will collect the coveted trophies, decided by votes from the British public.
Gongs are handed out in categories including Best Scripted Comedy, Best Comedy Podcast, Comedy Breakthrough Performer, and Outstanding Comedy Actor and Actress. The categories feature nominations for an array of stars including Ricky Gervais, Sarah Millican, Mo Gilligan, Daisy May Cooper, Aisling Bea, Greg Davies and Rosie Jones.
Alongside the viewer-voted categories, there are two additional special recognition awards, chosen by a prestigious group of comedy VIPs. The event is taking place for a good cause: raising money for Stand Up To Cancer, the joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.
