The Trip. Image shows from L to R: Rob (Rob Brydon), Steve (Steve Coogan)
Rob and Steve's island-hopping tour is cut short in King Nestor's home of Pilos as Steve receives some bad news. It makes for an emotional journey home.

Further details

On the final leg of the journey, Rob suggests a detour to Olympia, but Steve refuses, on the grounds that it will be full of tourists. Instead, he insists, they are heading to Pilos, home of King Nestor, passing through an Ottoman fortress on the way before stopping at the waterside Poseidonia restaurant for a snack. As they are admiring the view, Steve receives a call bearing some bad news.

Press

The final series of Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon's all-expenses culinary jolly has proved more sombre than previous outings, albeit bookended by the pair's trademark celebrity impressions and extravagant meals. As it comes to an end, there is a trip to an Ottoman fortress, and bad news for Coogan.
