Series 18, Episode 6 - A Dance As Old As Time Itself

The Taskmaster's much-admired assistant, Little Alex Horne, has many talents. He can use a stopwatch, he can record statistics and he can comb Greg Davies' hair every night for exactly 20 minutes. But can he competently wield a pair of pliers? Rosie Jones is keen to find out. Elsewhere, Andy Zaltzman finds a really important pen, Jack Dee adopts a charismatic New York accent, Babátúndé Aléshé creates a lovely little otter and Emma Sidi enjoys some horrible wine.

Prize task: The most fun thing to put in Alex's pocket without him knowing.

Task 1: Hook one fish in the frying pan. Dottiest fish wins. Your task ends when you put a fish in the frying pan. You have 15 minutes. Your time starts now.

Task 2: Create, handle and voice the most charismatic new children's television puppet sidekick for Alex. You have 30 minutes. Your time starts now.

- Babatunde: Man Like Tyrone, a 34-year-old otter from Brixton who advises kids to sell drugs. - 5
- Jack: Horsey, a horse-head with a Bronx accent who fails to get Alex to say the C-word. - 4
- Andy: Pigeor the Merciless One, an evil pigeon-headed, bear-handed puppet. - 3
- Rosie: Mr. Poo, a living turd who gets Alex to kiss him. - 2
- Emma: Little Cheeky Banana Boy, who dies because Alex won't kiss him. - 1

Task 3: Defuse the robot. You must cut all the wires but one. If you cut the danger wire the robot will spew and you will be disqualified. You must keep your goggles on at all times. Fastest do defuse the robot wins. You have a maximum of ten minutes. Your time starts now.

- Andy: Fastest person. - 5
- Jack: Four seconds left on the clock. - 4
- Rosie: Given points because she would have defused the robot if Alex had cut the wires when she told him to do so. - 3
- Babatunde and Emma: Disqualified for cutting the danger wire. - 0

Live task: Correctly guess this person's job. You must ask a yes or no question on your turn. If you take more than ten seconds to ask your question you miss a go. The person who guesses correctly wins five points. Winner takes all.

- Jack: Correctly guesses that Quentin (from Series 13, Episode 6) is a gynaecologist. - 5
