Joanne McNally, John Robins, Nick Mohammed, Sophie Willan and Steve Pemberton are the formidable five hoping to pass the Taskmaster's muster with their attempts to hunt for patatas, hoopla a gorilla and hug a special friend.

Prize task: The most glorious thing that sounds a bit like "Greg Davies" if you mumble it.

- Steve Pemberton: Peg Mavis - Mavis from Coronation Street as a peg doll. - 5
- John Robins: Grieg dairies - the diaries of Edvard Grieg. - 4
- Sophie Willan: Egg babies - eggs made up to look like babies. - 3
- Nick Mohammed: Eggs Benedict. - 2
- Joanne McNally: Glug gravies - a glug jug full of gravy. - 1

Task 1: Do the riskiest thing involving this egg without breaking this egg. The egg in the greatest danger that doesn't break wins. You have 20 minutes. Your time starts now.

- John: Gets the egg to drive him home, with the egg swerving to avoid the egg's husband riding Linda the Cow, saving all their lives. - 5
- Joanne: Surrounds the egg with a large amount of bubble wrap, hits the egg against the wall and with various sporting equipment. - 4
- Nick: Hard boils the egg and throws bricks at it. Disqualified for breaking the egg. - 0
- Sophie: Tries to walk straight with the egg on her head. Disqualified as the egg falls off and breaks. - 0
- Steve: Conducts a puppet performance with the egg riding carriage number nine through a town. Disqualified as the egg falls off and breaks at the very end of the journey. - 0

Task 2 (Team Task): Create the best single picture of an animal doing something surprising. All six blinds must be fully and equally involved in your picture. You may not see each other's work, and you may only say two words at a time. After the task your pieces will be lined up next to each other in this order. 1. Shortest Wikipedia entry. 2. Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe winner. 3. Smallest shoe size. 4. The person whom Alex said hello to first. 5. Most Twitter followers. 6. Lowest-scoring full name in Scrabble. You may not move outside of your segment. You have 15 minutes. Your time starts when Alex blows his whistle.

Task 3: Hoopla Gary [the non-endangered gorilla] before he crosses the finish line. Your time is double every time one of your limbs gets wet. Fastest wins. Your time starts now.
