Series 2, Episode 3 - Charity

Stewart Lee talks about charity - do we have a moral obligation to give to charity? Most people in the UK are well off by global standards, so what should we be giving to charity?

Further details

Stewart Lee returns to the Mildmay Club for another searing stand-up set, this week looking at the subject of charity. The eagled-eyed will have noticed that the opening episode of this second series was also called 'Charity' but, in that show, Stewart went off on a tangent and ended up talking mostly about crisps. So the producer made him do it again.

So this show really is about charity - do we have a moral obligation to give to charity? Most people in the UK are well off by global standards, so what should we be giving to charity? What should a millionaire be giving? Or a multimillionaire? Stewart, being Stewart, has some specific examples in mind. They might want to hide under the table during this one...

As ever, in the interests of balance and fairness, Armando Iannucci is on hand to remind Stewart that he's not the only one who can make people look silly.
