The so-so comedy series starring Kevin Bishop returns for a third outing, lampooning the lives of Heather Mills and Peter and Jordan (the phrase 'shooting fish in a barrel' does come to mind).

The Beckhams were an obvious choice for the opening of this satirical series about the vacuous celebrities who cast such an improbable spell over the globe. And a great instalment of British comedy it was, too: fast, smart and irreverent, as actors played Posh, Becks et al in a silly mockumentary that was probably no less silly than a real documentary might have been.

Pop stars (and sometimes film stars) living celebrity lives form the basis of Channel 4's brilliant Star Stories, a set of biopics in its second series and right now the funniest thing on TV.

So, I'm back from the C4 autumn season launch, and I'm kind of not sure what the big story should be ... if anything. [...] Funnies-wise, the main "narrative comedy" (sayeth Lygo) is Star Stories, which seems to be Rock Profile writ large.
