Unbroadcast sitcom pilot from Harry Hill parodying soaps.
Key details
Spoof soap opera set around the duck pond of the fictional town of Waffingham. The project (which was previously known under the working title Extreme Soap) was created by comedian Harry Hill and the writers included Dan Maier, David Quantick, Brenda Gilhooly, Paul Hawksbee and Andrew Collins. Hill plays the part of landlord Arthur Buttons who falls in love with his mad sex-change sister. Other cast members lined up include Mark Benton, Greg Davies, Tim Key and Liza Tarbuck. Un-confirmed rumours suggest Jan Francis, John Thompson, Paul Usher, Kate Robbins, Josie D'Arby, Karen Taylor and Carli Norris are also involved.
A pilot received a screening in front of a live audience on the 7th November 2007, but nothing has appeared since so we are assuming this show has been axed.
