Press

Though its comedy has come mainly from David Calder as a spook called Chekhov ("No relation") it's been a slow but enjoyable excursion nearer to Gogol. It also made the re-run Tinker Tailor look a pretty rusty relic.

Hugh Hebert, The Guardian, 2nd May 1991
