Further details
As the team make a drop off in A&E Stuart surveys the waiting room which is awash with the dregs of humanity and proclaims he's proud that he is 'biologically incapable of adding to its vile and dirty ranks'. Yes. He's firing blanks. But it's not holding him back; he has a date with Angie - a student and eco-campaigner he met a few weeks back.
Stuart tells best mate Maxine he's seeing someone but is worried about his terror of physical intimacy, which Maxine believes stems from his relationship with his dad who walked out on him years before.
After a shaky start, things are going well with Angie, until Stuart's cold is suddenly cured but he discovers that what has boosted his immune system is not shagging his girlfriend... and Maxine's attempts to convince him to return a phone call from his estranged dad fall on deaf ears.
