Frank and Lu enter the competitive world of hairdressing and find themselves combing through a tangled web of backstabbing and deceit.

Lu and Frank are hired to investigate a fire at an award-winning salon, following which one of the young stylists is in a coma. Flamboyant owner Odette is convinced that her old friend and now rival Isobel is behind the fire and a number of other acts of sabotage.
The Graziano Professional Hairdressing Awards are coming up and Odette is sure that Isobel is intent on stealing her crown. As the competition draws nearer and tragedy strikes, Frank and Lu comb their way through the evidence and soon uncover a tangled web of blame and divided loyalties.
