Two residents of a hospice in Nottingham, disabled by motor neurone disease, set out on a pilgrimage for Knock in Ireland, hoping for a miracle cure.

This unsentimental and comic account of the trials of serious disability was written by William Ivory - best known as Eddie Ramsden in Coronation Street - whose own mother died from the disease.
