The Story Of Panto With Gyles Brandreth

The author, broadcaster and all-round entertainer reveals some of the surprising origins of this uniquely British form of musical comedy. Gyles looks at its roots in commedia dell'arte and Victorian music hall and joins in with scene painting, slapstick and the making of a pantomime dame. With contributions from panto veterans including Julian Clary and Gary Wilmot.
