Episode 2 - A Stand-Up Life

Being a stand-up is the loneliest job in comedy. Five years ago, American comedian Al Lubel gave up a successful career as a lawyer to go on the road in search of fame. Now he faces his biggest challenge yet, on the show that can make or break any new comic - The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. "I am under constant stress," says Lubel. " I have got eight years invested in my one six-minute appearance, which is almost like a final exam. This is where you find out if you can really make it in show business." Also featuring Bob Hope, Joan Rivers, Milton Berle, Mort Sahl and Burt Reynolds.
