Even cartoon characters have to sit exams, as the comic adventures of a cartoon boy living in the real world continue.

Roy is filled with dread when Miss Sheringham announces a forthcoming class test, covering all of the year's school work to date. Roy, however, has never been tested before and is very worried about his chances of success.

Headmaster Mr Hammond, meanwhile, is determined to raise the school's position in the league tables and, if Roy does badly, it could mean he has to leave the school.

But Roy finds studying tedious, so he recruits his brainy friend, Tommy, to educate him in the ways of revision. Tommy suggests that Roy needs to "digest" the information. Unfortunately, Roy takes this advice literally. He quickly swallows all of his school books and discovers that he can literally eat knowledge. With this new-found power he can't possibly fail the test - or can he?
