Rob Leane, Den Of Geek, 18th October 2017How Red Dwarf became classic comedy, wobbly sets & all
The classic sitcom has been enjoying a revival of sorts on the BBC: Still Open All Hours, a Keeping Up Appearances prequel, and now even a new series of Porridge (surely a crime in itself). Meanwhile, three million years into deep space - or as it's better known, the comedy channel Dave - Red Dwarf is re-launching for its 12th series. Unlike those other sitcoms though, Red Dwarf, which first aired in February 1988, has never really been away.

Anglonerd, 9th October 2017TV review: Red Dwarf XII, Dave
There are some lovely moments from writer Doug Naylor here as the plot pans out and things are not quite what they seem. Some of the gags are a bit obvious - you can see a Rupert Murdoch swipe light years off - but other touches are neat and imaginative, particularly when the crew get into a sticky patch and are confronted by their own worst fears.
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 8th October 2017Red Dwarf XII episode 1 review: Cured
Available to watch now online ahead of its TV premiere next week, here's our spoiler-filled review of the Red Dwarf series 12 opener...
Mark Harrison, Den Of Geek, 5th October 2017Also, we know from the past two Dave Dwarf series that some episodes will have had more money spent on them than others, so it seems a little odd to kick off this season with one of the episodes that, we assume, is one of the cheap ones.
