Chortle, 27th June 2023Review: Queen Of Oz
Thanks to David Jason's The Royal Bodyguard, Queen Of Oz cannot be labelled the worst regal BBC sitcom ever made. It's a strong second though.
Ian Hyland, The Mirror, 22nd June 2023Queen Of Oz review
"You can't satirise the royals - they're unimprovable".
Camilla Long, The Sunday Times, 18th June 2023TV review: Staged; The Full Monty; Queen Of Oz
Staged: Tennant is still magnificently annoying, a human bluebottle of a man, while grumpy Sheen makes Eeyore look like Bruno Tonioli.
Queen Of Oz: I was reminded of one of Tate's genuinely funny creations, dear old Nana, and wondered what she would make of this. "You spent my licence fee on this load of old rubbish? What a ******* liberty!"
The Full Monty: Not too shabby. On the sugary side, there is an actual shaggy dog and Sheffield is suspiciously sunny for much of the time.
Alison Rowat, The Herald, 17th June 2023Queen Of Oz review
Whisper it - it's time to stop pretending Catherine Tate is funny.
Anita Singh, The Telegraph, 16th June 2023Queen Of Oz review
Some of the supporting cast put in a game effort, but sympathies go out them for being hitched to such a limp excuse for a comedy which - after The Nan Movie and Netflix series Hard Cell - completes a hat-trick of Catherine Tate comedy flops. Still, she's good in Doctor Who...
