- Tangent: Sally once offered her hand in marriage for Comic Relief to the person who donated the most money.
- The worst charity single ever was the 1985 song "Doctor in Distress". It was used to protest against the announcement that Doctor Who was being axed. The lyrics were; "Doctor in distress; let's all answer his SOS; Doctor in distress; bring him back now; we won't take less." The audience all sing the song. (Forfeit: The NHS)
- Tangent: Jo was in the video for "The Going Gets Tough" by Boyzone, a Comic Relief charity single. In the video, Dawn French kissed a queue of celebrities, and Jo was in the queue in front of one of the band. When the band member asked what she doing, she said that she was kissing Dawn, to which he said: "Are you a f***ing lesbian?" Jo replied: "I am now I've seen you."
