Four tales of terror unfold as Phil Walker, the location manager for Dale Winton's Overnight Ghost Hunt, investigates the abandoned ruins of Ravenhill Psychiactric hospital.

Does the ghost of evil Governess Edwina Kenchington still walk the empty corridors? What other horrors lie within the crumbling walls and will health and safety allow any filming there in the first place?

Episode Breakdown (with mild spoilers):

This hour-long special - which is both spooky and funny in equal measures - is, in the main, unconnected from the main show. Instead we are treated to four fictional Halloween tales featuring the main Psychoville characters.

However, what does become quite clear is that the frustratingly open-ended conclusion to the first series was actually all part of a sophisticated setup for the second series. Without giving the plot away, this special dovetails perfectly into the new episodes and, as a special treat, at the end of the episode the BBC gave viewers a quick glimpse of what was to come in Series 2.

Episode Breakdown By Pictures:
