Porridge 2016 - First Look Pictures

Here are some first look pictures from the new 2016 version of Porridge, which will form part of the BBC's Landmark Sitcom Season.
Written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, who created and penned the Ronnie Barker original, the new one-off episode sees Kevin Bishop playing Fletch's grandson, also known as Fletch. He has been imprisoned for a series of cyber crimes. Wily prison officer Meekie (Mark Bonnar) has got his beady eye on Fletch: he knows a wrong 'un when he sees one.

The show also features Dave Hill as Joe Lotterby, Fletch's cellmate.

Fletch finds himself beholden to prison bad boy Richie Weeks (Ralph Ineson), forced to use his hacking skills to get Weeks off the hook.
Other cast members include Dominic Coleman as Officer Braithwaite, Harman Singh as Aziz, Jason Barnett as Shel, and Ricky Grover as Scudds.
The new version of Porridge will be shown this autumn as part of the BBC's Landmark Sitcom Season, which also includes re-makes of Up Pompeii! and Are You Being Served?, a spin-off from Keeping Up Appearances (titled Young Hyacinth), and a new episode of Goodnight Sweetheart.
