Popetown is a ten-part animated sitcom about office politics in the workplace... only this workplace happens to be the Vatican and the CEO is the Pope.
Ruby Wax plays the voice of the Pope, Jerry Hall is Sister Penelope (the Popetown TV reporter), Morwenna Banks is Sister Marie (a devoted and innocent nun) and Kevin Eldon is Father Nicholas.
Including the talents of Mackenzie Crook and Matt Lucas, Popetown is a funny, satirical and bizarre take on the world of personal politics, sex and fame set in a fictional version of one of the most revered and mysterious cities in the world.
This project was made but it has never been released publicly in any form.
