Plebs - Series 3 Teaser

Plebs is back soon for more episodes. Series 3 starts on ITV2 on Monday 4th April. Here's a teaser...

Featuring: Tom Rosenthal (Marcus), Joel Fry (Stylax) & Ryan Sampson (Grumio).

This April Tom Rosenthal, Joel Fry and Ryan Sampson will return as the much loved under-achievers Marcus, Stylax and Grumio for a third series of the multi-award-winning Plebs.

It's one year on in the Eternal City, as we flash forward all the way to 25BC. The new series picks up where the last one left off, with our three lowly plebs still living in a squalid block in the worst part of town, which is now presided over by the ruthless Landlady (Maureen Lipman), as the fate of the unscrupulous Landlord (Karl Theobald) is still to be revealed. They work dead-end jobs for Rome's third largest grain supply company, under the direction of their fearsome boss Flavia (Doon Mackichan), and although the Games are in town, they can't get tickets for any event - not even the pig chase. However, an encounter with a fiery Gallic activist, Delphine (Bella Dayne), might at least improve Marcus' romantic stakes. Could she possibly become his Gaul-friend? Or is she just a bit too real for him? Let the Games begin...

Alongside their regular nemeses, this year the plebs will encounter a legion of new Roman recruits: visiting parents (Samantha Spiro, Danny Webb, Steve Edge), a brazen Vestal Virgin (Michelle Keegan), a doping discus thrower (Ingrid Oliver), a theatrical grande dame (Miriam Margolyes) and an ancient weatherman (David Bamber).

Tom Rosenthal, who plays Marcus, says: "Plebs Series 3 is the best thing to come out of Rome since the aqueduct, the arch or any of Stylax's other sex positions."

Ryan Sampson, who plays Grumio, comments: "Yes, Plebs is back and bigger, weirder and more nakeder than ever before! It's a real treat, with plenty of hilarity, cringe moments and a bit more insight into Grumio's past."

Joel Fry, who plays Stylax, adds: "We're sure fans of the show will love the new series! Stylax will be up to more of the same, pursuing lots of women - including a vestal virgin played by Michelle Keegan!"

Plebs Series 3 launches on ITV2 on Monday 4th April with a double bill. Episode guide
