Series 5 - Details and Gallery
The last series of hit BBC sitcom Outnumbered was back in 2011, however the Brockmans will soon be back on our screens. Series 5 has now been filmed and is scheduled to be broadcast on BBC One from the end of January.
The sad news though is that Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, the creators of Outnumbered, have decided that this, the fifth series, will be the last. But, that said, they and the cast very much hope to reunite in the future for the occasional one-off Outnumbered special.
Life is changing a fair bit for the Brockman family in this final series. Dad (Hugh Dennis) is besieged by unreliable technologies and his ever-larger and more complex children, whilst Mum (Claire Skinner) has a brand new office job but is finding it hard to combine the inevitable crises at home with presenting a professional veneer.
Meanwhile Jake (Tyger Drew-Honey) is sporting a new tattoo - of sorts - and is also learning to drive. Any nearby pedestrians might want to dive for cover. Meanwhile, tone-deaf Ben (Daniel Roche ) finds himself cast in the lead role of his school play - a musical version of Spartacus.
Last but not least, Karen (Ramona Marquez) has decided to no longer be blonde and she is starting secondary school, where she quickly finds herself in conflict with, well, just about everyone (including the Head Teacher). The dreaded Auntie Angela (Samantha Bond) also puts in an unexpected appearance, with her latest toy-boy in tow and lots of unsolicited opinions.
