Series 2, Episode 3 - Dramatic Fever

Margaret joins the local amateur dramatic society and takes Victor to a Bergerac watching party. Meanwhile, Margaret's mother manages to get stuck in the bath with wallpaper paste.

Further details

Margaret has just joined the local amateur dramatic society and has been going off to rehearsals. Her mum, meanwhile, has been visiting for a few days, but Victor's reuse of old storage tins and bottles causes no end of havoc: first her dentures are accidentally set in plaster of Paris, and she then finds herself stuck fast in the bath with wallpaper paste!

Whilst Margaret takes her mother back home Victor attempts to use the quiet to pen his own comedy script, but finds himself pestered by incessant phone calls, one of which is from one of Margaret's am-dram friends, who rather misunderstands the notion of her being in Kettering.

Invited to the friend's watch-party for an episode of Bergerac she recently filmed, the Meldrews arrive - albeit late - in reasonably good humour, only to discover the full horror of their latest confusion.

Victor, meanwhile, has been attempting to put local litterbugs to rights, but - as ever - his attempts have not been without shortcomings.
