Series 1 (2006)

The first series of Not Going Out introduces us to the world of Lee and Tim. Lee is living with an American called Kate... a woman who unfortunately just happens to be Tim's ex-girlfriend. This is particularly awkward for Lee as he stars to develop feelings for his flatmate...

Series 2 (2007)

Kate has moved back to America, so Tim's sister Lucy takes over paying the rent... but she is only allowed to purchase the flat if Lee was allowed to continue living there. This is where the will-they won't-they situation between Lee and Lucy begins... however, there is an obstacle in Lee's way - Lucy's older boyfriend Guy.

Series 3 (2009)

Pregnancies, insurance scams and lesbian neighbours, not to mention a well-meaning but utterly useless cleaner and Tim's ditzy girlfriend Daisy, all help keep Lee's mind off the bigger picture in Series 3...

Series 4 (2011)

Series 4 saw Lee still desperate to win the affections of Lucy. But it's still not plain sailing; and it's not just Lee's complete lack of drive that gets in the way. Trouble seems to find Lee at every turn. Not only are Tim and Daisy on hand to cause problems but Lee also has to cope with stolen drugs, missing OAPs, long-lost daughters, a coma and more...

Series 5 (2012)

Lee turns rocker when he joins Tim's band, cheered on by Tim's ditzy girlfriend Daisy; takes on the role of carer for his scrounging father; injures himself training for a Fun Run; and prove his manliness by camping in a dark spooky forest. But will a drunken experiment with Lucy show once and for all that love really is in the air or will it just lead to more mayhem and mishaps...?

Series 6 (2013)

Tim Vine had left the show by this point, so it's just Lee, Lucy and Daisy from here on in. The episodes include Lee and Lucy having to come up with appropriate entertainment for her nine year old god-daughter and the trio getting stuck in a cable car on an Eastern European skiing trip.
