Rita Tushingham plays the poetry-writing Leonora, who causes chaos in the ordered life of Derek (Keith Barron), a vet with a special aversion to Yorkshire Terriers, when she moves into his flat, but not his bed. Derek has somehow been cajoled into letting Leonora and his unfavourite dogs into his flat. Between getting the dog off the sofa and her off his records, Derek finds that having another woman about the place puts obstacles in the way of his love life.
