Character guide
Devlin, aka Excelsor
Devlin is the most successful man in costume; he can basically do everything - he is the Brad Pitt of the superhero world and the bane of Alex's life.
Excelsor has a huge forcefield, the ability to fly, as well as great strength and stamina - he is also top of the superheroes' TV appearances leaderboard - what more could a girl want? As it happens, they'd be best to avoid him - he's a horrible, arrogant bully.
Excelsor's costume is an all-in-one electric gold on white neoprene suit, with a full Roman cape made of gold.
Alex, aka The Hotness
Alex controls heat - he can create flames from his fingers. Alex's power can be a bit of a liability, as a poor newsstand vendor discovers when he encounters the superhero.
Alex is desperate to be famous for saving the world (or at least someone), but somehow Excelsor always manages to save the day before him.
The Hotness is fame hungry, he's also insecure and slightly flabby. Actually, he's a bit of a loser. Excelsor things he's a prat and mercilessly takes the piss out of him at every available opportunity.
The Hotness' suit is far from flattering and - as we discover in the first episode - was not made with bedroom antics in mind.
Sarah, aka Electroclash
Sarah can control can control electricity and 'speak' to machines with her voice. However, she is more interested in using her heritage to alleviate herself from the mundaneness of modern life than to help the world around her. For example, she would rather steal a pack of cigarettes from a machine than save a shopkeeper from a robbery.
Seen as the most rock 'n' roll of the bunch, Sarah is the moody daughter of famous superheroes. She has had previous sexual dalliances with The Hotness, something which has now left them with an antagonistic friendship.
Don, aka Timebomb
Don can see sixty seconds into the future. However, these days the homosexual Spaniard only uses his power to his friend's advantage, as he is retired from being a superhero.
Don is depressed, an alcoholic, and an ex-junkie with sadomasochistic tendencies. His sense of humour is as dry as the Sahara - he hates almost everybody, including himself.
Electroclash, She-Force and The Hotness are his only friends. The main reason he is friends with them is so they can buy him drinks as he is skint.
Jenny, aka She-Force
Jenny has super-strength - she is the third strongest woman in the world, but totally despises having this power. She would much rather spend her days at her desk, waiting for Mr Right to come along. She revels in her everyday guise.
She-Force is one of the kindest people you could ever meet in life. She is also tirelessly enthusiastic. She is loyal, caring and loves her friends. All she would really like to do is meet the right guy, get married and have some children. Her problem is that having super strength makes living a normal life a little difficult.
Simon, aka Thundermonkey
Simon is the doorman/bouncer at The Fortress pub. He does his best to stop the superheroes from using their powers inside the pub.
His special power is that he can summon a horde of monkeys - the only problem is it takes them about two hours to arrive!
Norse Dave
Norse Dave is an ex-Falklands superhero and the Fortress landlord.
