Jill continues in her attempts for an alternative route to free herself from Glen Bulb. Following the news that Cath is pregnant with Don's child, Jill decides its time to announce her pregnancy - and 12-year-old Bruce is the father. As Cath struggles to accept the news, Don decides the best way to cope is to remain in a permanent state of drunkenness.
