STV to stream cleaner sitcom Dirty Water

Scottish channel STV is launching a new sitcom about Glasgow cleaners on its streaming service. Dirty Water stars Burnistoun's Kirsty Strain, stand-up comic Billy Kirkwood and High Times' Stephen McCole.

Brennan Reece and actor Dawn Sievewright are piloting Step 9, an anarchic BBC Three comedy drama about "real, flawed people" in alcoholism recovery in Glasgow, with the pair writing and co-starring.

Lie Another Day, a planned Channel 4 satire from The Comic Strip Presents... team on Boris Johnson's tenure as Prime Minister, which would have seen the PM as a Russian agent planted to destroy the UK, was cancelled because of production wranglings between writer Peter Richardson and production company Lookout Point.

Channel 4 has commissioned The Joe Lycett Live Show, a late-night series for Friday nights from Birmingham in which the stand-up performs comedy and welcomes celebrities, "local legends, LGBTQ+ heroes and allies".

Danny Dyer to star in Mr Bigstuff as part of Sky's 2023 comedy line-up

Sky has commissioned Mr Bigstuff, a series in which Ryan Sampson and Danny Dyer play estranged brothers trying to patch up a sibling rivalry. The network has also revealed festive comedy drama Joy To The World, released more details on Smothered, an Intelligence special, the forthcoming Dreamland and Brassic Series 5.
The Windsors returning for new series and King's Coronation special

The Windsors is returning for a fourth series, as well as a special episode to mark King Charles's Coronation, Hadyn Gwynne who plays Camilla has revealed, with cameras set to start rolling shortly ahead of the Coronation in May.
