BBC Two has confirmed the commission of Spent, a six-part comedy series in which Michelle De Swarte plays a former catwalk model who is on the run.
The BBC has formally unveiled a line-up of new comedy pilots, being released as individual short films on iPlayer this Friday.
BBC Three has recommissioned the gym comedy Peacock for six new episodes following a mini-series last year. Allan "Seapa" Mustafa will return as personal trainer Andy Peacock, struggling to adjust to a woke world of selfies and Instagram.

Filming is underway on Kat Sadler's BBC Three sitcom Such Brave Girls, in which she stars alongside her real-life sister Lizzie Davidson and Louise Brealey. Simon Bird directs the comedy about a dysfunctional family trying to piece their lives back together after their father walks out on them.

Rose Matafeo will act as the Taskmaster in the new junior version of the show, with Mike Wozniak as her assistant.
Johnny Vegas and Sian Gibson are returning for two more Murder, They Hope specials on Gold. The first, Blood Actually, will air at Christmas and co-stars Robert Webb, Jane Horrocks, Lee Mack and Sarah Hadland, with a second 90-minute special to be broadcast in 2024.
Lenny Henry is making two new television shows for Channel 4. In Legends Of Comedy, he interviews Paul Whitehouse, Alexei Sayle, Sally Phillips and Romesh Ranganathan. He is also writing a dark comedy drama pilot for the channel called Kriss Kross.

Derry Girls has won Best Scripted Comedy at the 2023 BAFTA TV Awards. Other winners include Friday Night Live, Bad Sisters, Joe Lycett's Got Your Back, Siobhán McSweeney, Lenny Rush, Ben Whishaw and Anne-Marie Duff.
