Chris Barrie has revealed that a new episode of the leisure centre sitcom The Brittas Empire has been written, with the BBC confirming a special is indeed in development.
John Thomson, in character as Bernard Righton, will present a series on TV comedy channel Gold which will show archive footage from the world's best comedians.
