Man Like Mobeen is set to return for a fifth series, after co-creator and star Guz Khan essentially confirmed the BBC Three sitcom's recommission while appearing on The One Show.
Upstart Crow will not be returning to the BBC, David Mitchell has revealed. Ben Elton's Shakespeare sitcom ran for three series on BBC Two, with three Christmas specials and a spin-off stage play. Mitchell has said that he would love to reprise his role as the Bard and appealed to other broadcasters to rescue the period sitcom.
Sean McLoughlin and animator Laurie Rowan are developing Pleasure Beach, an adult animated sitcom with Disney, described as "a surreal workplace comedy with a wicked wit and a bold animated imagination".
Al Murray is returning to Sky History for a new series, Al Murray: Why Does Everyone Hate the British Empire?, accompanied by comedians from India, Jamaica, South Africa and Australia, including regular performers in the UK, Anuvab Pal and Loyiso Gola.
