Rob Beckett is piloting a panel show for Comedy Central based on comedians judging people's disputes, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal.

With the working title Am I The A**hole?, the show is aimed at fans of the popular Reddit thread of the same name and Mumsnet's Am I Being Unreasonable? forum, in which posters seek to justify their grievances and grudges.

Recorded last month at the Shaw Theatre in London, the non-broadcast pilot features a panel of "top tier" comics passing judgements on relationship "dilemmas and disputes", promising "big laughs and eyebrow-raising stories as our comedians deliberate on some of the most ridiculous and relatable conflicts you've ever heard", airing "petty peeves, outrageous incidents, and confusing family drama".

Examples of such conflicts suggested to potential contestants include somebody getting rid of a favourite pet or prized car behind their partner's back.

Am I The A**hole? is being developed by Tuesday's Child. The production company also recently piloted James Acaster: People Person for Channel 4, in which comics try to guess members of the public's personality traits.

Beckett, who reflects upon parenting dilemmas in his podcast Parenting Hell with fellow dad Josh Widdicombe, also presents the Sky Max panel show Rob Beckett's Smart TV about television, returning later this year with Widdicombe and Alison Hammond.

He previously hosted Rob Beckett's Undeniable for Comedy Central in 2021, in which comedians tried to outsmart each other with their grasp of facts and trivia.

The channel has further space for new panel shows after cancelling Guessable?, hosted by Sara Pascoe, with John Kearns, Alan Davies and Darren Harriott, after four series.

The Am I Being Unreasonable? forum previously inspired the BBC One comedy thriller of the same name written by and starring Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, which is returning for a second series later this year, having been recommissioned for a third run according to Cooper.

A spokesperson for Tuesday's Child declined to comment on Am I The A**hole?.

Beckett, appearing in Last One Laughing UK in the spring, Amazon Prime's latest international adaptation of a hit Japanese format in which comedians must resist the urge to laugh at each other, appeared in a Gladiators celebrity special over Christmas and resumes his Giraffe stand-up tour on 23rd January at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro.
