The winners of the I Talk Telly Awards 2024 have been revealed.
This is the 10th year of the entertainment website's awards, which are decided by a public vote. Over 200,000 votes were cast across November to determine the results. The comedy-related winners are as follows:
Best New Comedy
The show's star, David Mitchell, says: "I'm incredibly pleased and touched that so many people voted for it. This award is obviously shared with the entire cast and crew. Mark Brotherhood, the brilliant writer of the show. Anna Maxwell Martin, Dipo Ola, the directors, Robbie McKillop who started it all off and Jill Robertson."
Shortlisted: Big Mood, Boarders, Daddy Issues, Mammoth, Mr. Bigstuff, Spent, Such Brave Girls, Things You Should Have Done, We Might Regret This.
Best Returning Comedy
Shortlisted: Alma's Not Normal, Big Boys, Changing Ends, Here We Go, Inside No. 9, The Outlaws, Trying, Two Doors Down, We Are Lady Parts.
Best Comedy Performance
Siobhan Finneran for playing Lin in Alma's Not Normal
Shortlisted: David Morrissey (Daddy Issues), Diane Morgan (Mandy), Gemma Arterton (Funny Woman), Jim Howick (Here We Go), Lucia Keskin (Things You Should Have Done), Quinta Brunson (US sitcom Abbott Elementary), Sophie Willan (Alma's Not Normal).
Best Comedy Partnership
Danny Dyer & Ryan Sampson for Mr. Bigstuff
Shortlist: Elena Saurel & Kyla Harris (We Might Regret This), Esther Smith & Rafe Spall (Trying), Harriet Dyer & Patrick Brammall (Australian sitcom Colin From Accounts), Johnny Vegas & Sian Gibson (Apocalypse Slough), Reece Shearsmith & Steve Pemberton (Inside No. 9).
Best TV Presenter
Graham Norton for The Graham Norton Show
Shortlist: Claudia Winkleman (The Traitors), Davina McCall (My Mum, Your Dad), Fleur East (Strictly It Takes Two), Joel Dommett (The Masked Singer UK), Joe Lycett (Late Night Lycett), Maya Jama (Love Island), Susanna Reid (Good Morning Britain).
Other winners included Richard Gadd's Baby Reindeer in the Best Drama category and Abbott Elementry in the Best International Comedy list. Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway won Best Entertainment Show, with the format's hosts also taking the Best TV Presenting Partnership title.
